How to join an online class

In our new online and hybrid lifestyle, it is just as important as ever to connect with the body. As you ground into your body, you may notice reduced anxiety, better focus, and less reactivity to the stresses of life. How you participate depends on your environment, but these are a few tips we have found to make the most of an online class.

  • Find a private space where you can drop completely into your practice.

  • Use headphones if necessary so you can hear the music and Ann’s teaching.

  • After connecting to the class, put your devices on do not disturb.

  • Having your camera turned on creates greater connection with Ann and the other students. We are all in this together — moving as our bodies allow, feeling all our feelings, and coming back again and again to our breath and the present moment. If possible, allow yourself the connection and vulnerability that the camera provides.

How to join a Zoom class

These classes are offered using Zoom video conferencing software. Zoom is free software you can download here. After sending payment, you will be given a link to join the Zoom class.  If this is your first online class with Ann Kite, we strongly recommend that you join the Zoom meeting immediately upon receiving the confirmation email to verify that your software is working; you can then leave the meeting and re-join at any time. All students will have microphones muted during class. If you like your music loud, we recommend using powered speakers or headphones.
